Flash sales and other parties

Flash sales and other parties

I'm taking a break from filling orders to pour a steaming cup of black coffee (it being almost 8pm my husband is giving me that look) while I work on some administrative tasks. We are in our second day of a sale and I am absolutely giddy.

Aside from the obvious boon of increased sales, I absolutely love the frenzied social magic that happens when we get to interact with a ton of customers, get tagged on reels and stories, and have brief but lovely exchanges with people who probably dont realize how connected we feel.

In my day-to-day, I can work 12-16 hours without ever talking to anyone outside my family or professionally bland exchanges with vendors. This isn't tragic--its often by design. But when I do get out of my lab bubble, man, what absolute fun it is to have some manic up time with a frenzy of orders, order change requests (you know who you are 😂), social media and email exchanges, and the shell shocked look at our local post office when we bring in the packages.

We didn't expect to have as much fun as we are having and to make as many lovely connections as we have. We also didn't plan on the success we have been fortunate enough to enjoy these last 18 months. Next year, if not later this year, we will absolutely prepare better for getting out to events, fests, and general fragrance gatherings. If ya'll are this much fun virtually, I can't wait to share the same smelly air.
