Amora is a love letter. It is a love letter to roses and neroli and the joyful surprise of the unexpected. A bright invitation, we tested dozens of different rose absolutes and oils, and neroli extracts from Asia, Europe, North Africa to find just the perfect kiss of jammy rose and peppery neroli. Like a coquette that masks their experience with playfully coy innocence, Amora suggests something bright and simple at a glance. Past the glance, there is something much richer, more beguiling, and altogether deeper.
A love letter to innocence, to experience, and, of course, there is leather.
Of note, the rose that finally got us here is actually a marvel on its own, a somewhat new rose extract made from upcycled rose petals! Literal discards that have been brought back to life after the first distillation and provide a wholly unique, jammy, leathery goodness that is an absolute marvel of modern green tech. The neroli notes come from a special neroli grown and processed in Tunisia, the most remarkable of any we found.

I love this subtle and elegant fragrance. It's an every day scent for me!
I got this as a sample, and am slowly testing all the scents in search of my signature, and for the fun of trying something new. This was one I wasn't expecting to enjoy. I'm not generally into sweet perfumes, so cotton candy notes made me pretty sure this wouldnt be my cup of tea. However... this is interesting and lovely in it's own way. I like it more than I expected. Its surprising. It is sweet, but the deeper richer notes of sandlewood and leather help hold it down so its not sickening and it doesnt fill a room, it's closer to the skin which I like. Just enough to stir up if you move close by but does still have an intoxicating quality. When I am testing, I like to forget all the notes in the perfume and see if I can guess what is in them for fun. Often I am wildly off but, it's a fun game. My first impression upon spraying it was was, "Oh God what is that? Wait it's... familiar? And kind of delicious?" Sweet, deep and something sharp. I thought maybe ripe figs or dates. Those sweet jammy notes, and the Neroli is likely the slightly sharp smell I was picking up. For just a moment when it first sprayed it I was reminded of being 16, wearing bath and body works Dark Kiss, but then this perfume blooms... It feels grown up, a little more subtle but still unapologetically rich and sweet and undeniably femme. I don't think this will be for everyone, and I'm not sure if I'll be getting a full bottle yet, but I am pleasantly surprised how much I enjoy it and it's definitely higher on my list and I expected.
It's pretty intensely sweet in the opening, and then it dries to a lovely level of sweetness with just a hint of that leather in the background to keep it from being sickly sweet. It doesn't project a lot, which is good in my book. I really like it.
I didn’t smell any other notes but cotton candy. Smelled overly sweet, very cheap.. smells just like the Body Fantasy perfume you can get for $3 at Walmart.
My search for a fluffy neroli ends here with Amora! After falling in love with Memo Sintra, then shifting my entire collection towards non-toxic perfumes and finding Dossier Floral Marshmallow extremely unapplealing, this perfume feels like a sweet place to land. I can't wait for cool weather to see how this one performs.
