CELESTE
CELESTE
Golden. Honied. Radiant. Celeste is a sunbeam, a radiant solar flair of ambrette, meadow clover, and orange blossom honey. A bit of musk, gently sweet, abstract and dense. Celeste is a beam of light, the glimmering gold of the sun on the sea.

Short Story Long
Short Story Long
Some fragrances announce themselves with notes that read like an ala carte menu. If I crave a coffee or rose fragrance, there are myriad that I can reach for where that desired note will be so prominent that it is unmistakable.
But not every fragrance is so easily understood. Some fragrances offer notes so interdependent on one another that they almost defy separation into their individual parts.
Celeste is a tapestry of notes so gently woven that you really have to peer to find the individual threads. Radiant but calm, it is a chameleon that shapes itself to the wearer, and anyone around them. It is a floral musk, but also a solar vanilla. There are green aromatics, abundant berry notes, but close your eyes and stop peering at it, and the illusion is that of something singular that is all of those things and none of those things.

I bought this initially as a sample. I sprayed on it on myself once and knew I needed a bigger bottle. I just fell in love with it. This perfume isn't something I would normally spring for. I usually like more spicy, vanilla perfumes. This is floral, musky, slightly aquatic and just fresh. I feel this would be a good scent for spring or summer. I've worn it to work and my co-workers like it too! I also LOVE the new bottle design. The bottle looks so beautiful sitting on my shelf. Another favorite from my favorite perfumers. :)
I live in a rural area with several fields within viewing distance. In the late stages of summer, when the last rounds of berries are being picked, lawns are still being mown, the leaves haven't yet begun to change, and the fields are almost ready to be harvested, there's just something about the air that feels inexplicably comforting and vibrant. Celeste manages to capture that. It's a scent I didn't realize I was looking for. This isn't a poolside or beachy summer fragrance; if you're seeking the currently-trending coconut, sunscreen, or salty sea air scents, look elsewhere. Celeste is for those who want to bask in golden hour forever, lost to nostalgia of chasing fireflies and laying back in the clover and grass to point out shapes in passing clouds.
Sweet and light, so wearable!
This perfume has a crisp sweetness to it. Not cloying or overdone. Just enough. I love a perfume with a honey note, and this one is great. The vanilla doesn't feel overdone like a lot of the gourmands on the market today. I love most everything I've gotten from Maison des Animaux, and this is no exception. The staying power is great without needing to overspray.
This perfume is stunning. It smells divine and celestial and sexy. Please never stop making it
