*CORDIAL* by maison de animaux is....in a word....*delicioso*. I'm not sure I detect *cognac* (there's certainly no booziness) but I'm sure it's in there. I do smell cinnamon (which I love) + caramel + fruitness + nutiness + warmth. It feels like it'd be most appropriate in fall + winter but...I'd wear it whenever I want to simply smell this good. I bought three 10ml vials anticipating I'd give two away. I'm thinking I'm holding on to all three. This is a beauty. 10/10.

Words I would use to describe this scent: dark, delicious, sinful. This gives me the vibes of an exclusive speakeasy. Sweet vanilla-apple from the dancers’ perfume that has settled into their skin throughout the night, spicy cinnamon-musk clinging to the lapels of the gentlemen in attendance, the dusty aged wood smell of the hidden underground bar, and a rich booziness permeating the air. Starts with a blast of cinnamon and settles down into the woodsier notes, with a strong thread of boozy vanilla linking everything together. Cinnamon and I don’t get along historically so I was skeptical at first, but I fell in love with the dry down. This is a scent with sex appeal.

This opens for me on the cognac note, with the zing of cinnamon and orange peel. Immediately, the cherry is noticeable in the scent bubble around me as I go about my day. The sandalwood, barrel wood, and myrrh drive unsweetened unisex notes. Overall, I like Cordial as a smoky, lightly-sweet cocktail fragrance.

This scent definitely has a strong alcohol scent with a sweetness in it that I liked! It smelled mature and grown up, and it's probably something I'd wear out, but probably not often, for my personal taste. Definitely a unique scent though!

I ordered two discovery sets, and this one was thrown in as an extra based on the notes I wouldn’t think I would like this. It sounds a little bit like angel share which I’m not a big fan of, but this is really really nice and I would actually buy a full bottle of this.
